- Airline alliances such as One World (which includes American Airlines and British Airlines), Sky Team (which includes Continental, Northwest, Delta and Air France) and Star Alliance (which includes United, Singapore Airlines and Lufthansa) offer Round the World fares. Benefits can include cost savings, flexibility in choosing dates, and flying on better-known airlines. These tickets can run from around $2,000 for a few continents in economy, to $3,500+ for a year-long travel across five or six continents. Tickets may also be available in business and first class, in which case the ticket can cost more than $10,000.
